Sharp's Doom Bar
is named after an infamous sandbank at the
mouth of the Camel Estuary in North Cornwall.
Where the river Camel meets the Atlantic Ocean on Cornwall’s rugged north coast, a sand bank, centuries old, known as the Doom Bar protects and calms this beautiful estuary. Sailors respect the Doom Bar knowing it to be unforgiving if met with haste or arrogance.

inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly
balanced and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty
notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the
finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.”

Sharps Altantic & Eden Ale
The Sharp's range of 500ml bottled beers includes three of our cask favourites Doom Bar, Eden Ale and Atlantic IPA Ale. We bottle in clear glass in order to emphasise the clarity of our beers
and the
flavour profiles of all three are closely matched to the cask originals.
Sharp's bottled beer is available in many good off licences and also through
Morrison's, Tesco and Majestic wines across the South of England.
Internationally Doom Bar is exported to twelve markets from Hong Kong to Mexi

and Sharp's is in fact the South West's largest exporter of bottled beer.
We are very proud that bottled Doom Bar was selected as a "top 50 World
Beer" in the International Beer Challenge Awards 2006
Sharps Reserve Ale
Sharp's Head Brewer Stuart Howe personally brewed just one batch of this very special beer in December 2009. The beer was conditioned in the Brewery for over a month then bottled with live yeast. The yeast gently conditions the beer over time giving it a very balanced and complex flavour profile.
Sharps Special Ale
As the strongest beer in our cask range, a higher quantity of premium English malted barley is used in the creation of this excellent beer. Malted barley adds a distinctive sweetness to the flavour profile, which complements most desserts, especially those with a good measure of sugar such as treacle pudding. The sweet, roasted aroma also makes Special perfect with creamy, rich cheeses
Chalky's Bark & Bite
Rick Stein and the Award winning Sharp’s Brewery have collaborated to create this unique new beer. Inspired by the success of their original creation, Chalky’s Bite, the team are proud to present Chalky’s Bark.
As with Chalky’s Bite, Chalky’s Bark tastes great, is an excellent food partner and has a novel ingredient, which this time is ginger.
Head Brewer Stuart Howe says, “Rick has always been a fan of ginger beers so we opted for ginger, and selected a lower ABV to contrast with Bite. I was keen for Bark to be a beer with ginger rather than a ginger beer and used a hop with a lemony aroma to complement the contribution of the fresh ginger”.
In Chalky’s Bark, which is triple fermented, ginger works in synergy with continental hops. This light, fruity and refreshing beer works particularly well with Asian dishes and seafood.

"Spicy lemon-fruit and ginger predominate the nose with some delicate
lychee notes. The heat of ginger lifts the gently-sweet body and contrasts
beautifully with citrus fruitiness in the mouth. The finish is light and dry
with a prickle of ginger and a subtle, fruity bitterness. Chalky’s Bark is a
complex and refreshing beer with tons of character."
